Changing Our Relationship to Our Inner Survival Ape

This blog is about honoring our transformative warrior energy, by seeing it not as something that destroys but rather as something that becomes a positive force in both our own lives and in the lives of others. We need to learn to change the relationship with our inner survival ape, and view it, not as something to be either neutralized or socialized out, but rather as something to embrace.

When we fully embody our inner-warrior, we can finally come home to ourselves and live as we were truly meant to.

In short: honoring the positive qualities of our inner caveman will allow us to become a constructive positive force in the world. In this way, martial arts training opens up opportunities to develop transformative warrior skills that not only inform and enhance our training on the mat, but that also projects positive relationships in the world around us.

“Rodney King is years ahead of his time, he has taken his martial arts to the level of budo, where few dare to go. I am a big fan.”
